knock sensor rewire
Hey all,
anybody have a link to the thread about wiring around the knock sensor? Just checked my codes, and 0304 is the only one that comes up so i'm guessing it's not a phantom being thrown by anything else. and since i'm not in the mood to spend 110 to replace it.. anyway, thanks

yeah your knock sensor is most likely finished... I'd check the resistance on it... if it's not between like 500 to like 580 (i think is the norm...)
then i'd replace it. Using a resistor to "fake" the engine into knowing it a good knock sensor, just kills the engine more.... From reading the FAQ at the top of the page, you'll see why![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Good luck
