B Pipe?

On my 97 SE 5 speed, i just installed a Y pipe and the gains are great. I was wondering about how much HP i would gain if i added a B pipe to my exhaust? Thanks

you want to take off the resonator and put a straight pipe, or put on an aftermarket resonator on? Stillen makes the straight through B as a separate piece (someone else has to have one for sale not custom and cheaper). the greddy sp and sp2 catbacks both have a less restrictive resonator and a straight muffler if ur interesting in upgrading the entire rest of the system, gaining some noise and power, but not going insane

I would say they give you around 3-5 HP at the wheels. On Motervate.ca he got an aftermarket crush bent B-pipe and gained 4 HP. It is not any where near as big of a gain as a Y-pipe...

no, the purpose of an aftermarket B-pipe is to get rid of the crush bend at the top of the stock B-pipe. You can still get it with a resonator (as most do, to avoid the raspy-ness). That, along with bigger piping gain you the 3-5hp that most people get...
