www.leatherseats.com The 97 Max on their home page is nice.

The thing you need to check on, which I don't have an answer for yet, is side airbags in the seat. I have a 98 GLE and the loaded GLE came with airbags in 98. I believe all 99's have them. The trouble is nobody seems to be able to give me an answer on if this has been done and how. Granted, you can cut that section of the seat out when installing (suggested by leatherseats.com who didn't know much about side airbags) but how do you work with/around the airbags safely? I've posted this question twice on this forum and no answers from anyone yet.

www.katzkin.com has really nice leather. I don't know about a 99 but they told me some years the seats must already be leather for theirs to fit.I would go consider used seats.Their are a lot at www.car-part.com.If you did that you would have original seats. You have to consider shipping charges but you will still come out cheaper than recovering your seats with leather. You might find some close enough to pick them up yourself, they have salvage yards all over the country.Just really question them about the condition before you buy.I bought a used leather center arm rest that was in mint condition.I hope this helps
