That's the one I'm using, comes with an internal check valve from NAPA for about $18-20, IIRC. I mounted mine underneath the battery tray.

Ok, Ok, Ok... I'll wash my engine bay...

Org -> <- Scruit

Yes, the vacuum canister is a ball - it has a built-in check valve and I have it bolted to the top of the lowest part of the factory snorkel next to the battery.

Your engine looks like it's completely stock . . . .except for the MEVI. Are you going to do a dyno? It would be interesting to see how the MEVI affects a stock car.

yep - I've been shipping those canisters out instead of the old ones for that reason.

Only problem is NAPA is out of them in the entire western US.

I have to do a factory order this weekend for the next MEVI GD.

It runs fine. Well, until today - I overtightened the alt belt (and I knew it, but was putting off adjusting it until next weekend). Well, The Smah puked his drivebelt - AND the tensioner. So I'll have a nice shiney new tensioner and nice shiny MEVI in a dirty engine bay...

That's the only engine bay I've ever seen that's dirtier than mine. My motto is it doesn't have to be clean to go fast.

I can't see the ball too well. Why did you choose the ball over the long NAPA canister? Is the ball plastic? How do you mount a ball??? Does it have some kind of mounting bracket? Looks like it would take up more space than the long canister.

The ball is smaller, has a mounting bracket on it, and has the check valve.

It is the same plastic as the other canister.

Can I maybe buy one of the ball type canisters from you when you get them in? I had to ziptie my canister to my intake scoop tubing. I'd rather mount it somewhere on the body.

Well, since NAPA carris very few of these around the country, they are telling me I have to order them straight from the factory.

I have no idea how long that would take - so if you want to wait, then I suppose I could pick you up one.

I don't know of any NAPAs around me. I'll be happy to order from you and maybe pay a little extra to avoid the trouble. I'll PM you.

cleaning your battery connectors can actually help ur picky japanese engine get enough voltage to make more power. cleaning your throttle body is an obviously good idea, and many org members know the benefits. also cleaning the engine compartmetn every once and a while (not spoteless clean, and not that often) can help the engine run a little cooler....less dirt can be nice
