Hi Everyone:
I just had my Gentex auto dim mirror installed and it works great. I had a local shop do the install for $55.00, the mirror cost $99.00. I would recommend everyone get this mirror in their Maxima's.

Just wondering where do you get this mirror? The other brand (forget the name) is like $199.
Thanks

My I30's mirror , which has auto dim

It makes the bright light's that reflect on to the mirror greenish which is a soothing color rather then the bright eritating light you normally get.

That's all it does? Definitely not the next mod on my list. That's like half a CAI.

Nimax:

I purchased the mirror from Mito Corp.(www.mitocorp.com). The sales lady is Donna Anderson. Check the website for the toll free number. I had the basic mirror installed which, does not have the temp/compass display. Donna will tell you the name of installers in your local area. The mirror is made by Gentex and they supply to quite a few manufacturers as OEM. I paid $99.00 + free shipping and free windshield mounting kit. Installation cost me $55.00 and took about 1.5 hours. Auto Outfitters in Manassas, VA did the install and they did a good job. Hope this helps.

napster...by the way I might have to start charging for the free dounloaded music!!!!!

Napster, thank you for the complete info.
I have thought about it for a while but never taken any action. I will check the web site.

Hmmm...come to think of it, clee130 might be right. I thought I saw on jcwhitney.com but I am not sure. I will check it too.

Is the one with temp actually showing outdoor temp or inside?

Good deal. That would be nice to know the temp especially when it gets freezing.

Is the new mirror installed in the same place as the original mirror or in the new place such as glue to the windshield?

I ordered the Donnelly version of the auto dimming mirror. It also has compass and temp features. I like this better than the Gentex one. Great for me...I live in the city where they make both....Holland, Michigan.
