CAN I get the Original Nissan Sunroof Wind Deflector?

I have a 99 SE-L, which did not originally have a sunroof installed. However, the guy who owned my Maxima before wanted a sunroof badly so he took it to the Nissan dealer and had it installed. I want the sunroof wind deflector cause it looks cool...will it fit? Many out there say it will and others say it won't...want to order it online so I don't want to waste $$ if it won't! Please help me out!

Measure your sunroof and then see if it will fit.

Is it a factory sunroof that they put in? If so, I don't see why it wouldn't fit.

Even though it's a factory sunroof, it's different. When nissan dealer installs a sunroof, IT IS NOT LIKE THE FACTORY ONE! The surrounding rubber ligaments of the sunroof is sort of sticking out...that's the way it always is so you can always tell if someone has factory or if nissan dealer installed it. Hard to explain...anybody know what i mean?

The sunroof is used on many nissan models so it should fit. It just slides in so if it's not fitting you can return it...

I was looking for one myself, and the local sunroof/tinting shop can install one for $70 (price of the piece + labor)
So if they cost 40-50 on the net + shipping (about $10) I think I am gonna let them take care of the whole thing.

Labor!?!?! What labor would that be? Hooking the little hooks onto the metal so that the screws hold it down?

Gotcha BOSS...I wonder if the metal garbage inside is the same though? If the metal stuff is the same I'm sure the regular deflector will just hook right in.

nothing in this world is free (well almost) even if it's two screws almost no one will do it for free.

Having the sunroof shop do it is probably best. I've put a few of the deflectors on different cars. The biggest quesiton is probably the brackets that hold the deflector to the car, and finding them if you DIY. You will have to have the correct ones to make any deflector fit. A sunroof shop will have the right parts for the job, and you'll also have a recourse if it is not done right.

Personally, I hate the thing. I took mine off when I painted the car, and never put it back on. I think it makes more noise and wind in the car with it on than off. I also think they are kind of ugly. Who wants a bubble on top of their car? Matter of opinion I suppose.
