WEIRD **** In MY BUDGET Y PIPE!?

So I got my Y pipe in the friday before last, (1 week and 2 days ago) and Every thing looked fine, I stashed it in my closet to await install, cuz I've been really busy lately...
So yesterday I go to go in my closet, and while I'm doing so, I look at my Y-Pipe for no particular reason, and notice that in the Longer part of the y, there appears to be some Brown **** On there, Almost like surface rust, but doest have the texture of rust, Its not really rocky textured but more of a powder...
I put my finger on the inside of the pipe, and Rub it around the sides and when my finger comes out its BLACK with **** all over it, and it almost appears to be SOOT I have NO idea what this **** is? What should I DO about it...I am looking to install it sometime this week, should I clean out the pipe with some TB cleaner, and a toilet brush? or install it and figure the exhaust is going to burn it out or what? I dont think it would be good to have **** sitting in there!
Any advice!? This is WEIRD!

mine did too man. if your worried run it out with a hose pipe. i didn't. all i was worried about was the crap clogging up my cat. but i figured it would all burn away anyways. which i'm pretty sure it does. good luck. where is the greddy! when you get it installed come visit me. in the meantim i'll be finding out wtf rattles in my exhaust...and i hope its not a dead cat.

Do what I did, the first time you start your car during a day let it idle for a few minutes. Now go stand right behind the muffler and sniff it(helps if you're in a garage). If your eyes start burning within a few seconds and you feel like fainting, it's busted...

So I finally put my CAR SOUND on and the awful smell is gone, the one that smelled like ****(weird thing is my cat looked brand new inside). Now with the new one I have a bad smell too, I'm guessing the coating or something is burning off. Anyway I decided to check my ECU and BAM 0304. Thank god I finally know my KS is messed up. Reset it and get 0505 now, need a new KS. I will finally know how fast a maxima really is...

oh my, you will LOVE the results of a new KS! the low end torque the max has is bad *** compared to how yours is now. my car felt totally different with a new ks. btw, try e-bay for a ks. i got one off a 15k mi. motor for 50 bucks shipped. it was basically brand new.
