Hi guys...anyone had a CEL code 76 on their 4th gen? The manual says it's the right bank fuel injection. Car's running as if it's missing so I changed the plugs (coppers were due for a change anyway) and put in NGK iridium...no difference. Appreciate a response.

 

Well it's not your plugs...yout computer is telling you its your fuel injection

 

best bet is to take it to a "friend" mechanic, hopefully u have one

 

Check the fuel injector. I'll bet your fuel injector is shot or dirty.

 

btw, stick with the coppers

 

The car has 215,000 miles mostly highway so the injector shouldn't be clogged...dead maybe..but not clogged . I'll check the manual to see if there are any specific injector codes..like those for the coils.

 

Here's an update..I discovered that I read the CEL/MIL code incorrectly..should've been 67 not 76 or 0607 as opposed to 0706. This points to "cylinder 2" misfire..aka coil pack is toast. Stealership of course wants $140 Canadian...I'll do some checking today to see if I can grab a used one.
