unorthodox pullys question

im debating on to get them or not. are they any benefits? and does it effect anything else like AC or electronics? Please help me out.

benefits - frees up horspower by underdriving the AC and something else. Is also lighter.

Will effect AC and electronics. I dont have one but this is what Ive heard.
