What is your opinion on champagne Maximas?

My Maxima is a champagne color, so do you think I should get it painted a different color? Or do you think champagne doesn't look bad on a Maxima? I'm just interested in what others think of the color.

color is always personal perferance. some may love it some may hate it, there is truely no answer to this questions. the real question should be do you like it?

^what outsider said...
honestly, i used to not like them at all...but after you see a few of the modded ones on here, beautiful. i'm sure they'll show up soon in this post but they can look just as good as other colors. some cosmetic mods dress them up nicely so don't go spending hugggge $$ on a paint job if you can make it look good for much less.

welp that's my opinion, goodluck deciding!

pebble beige for you 95-96 guys, almost positive its Sunlit Sand for us 97-up guys...

And yeah, i wasnt to thrilled about the color when i purchased it. Only 97-up 5spd witha sunroof within a 100mile radius of me at the time. I love it now though, keeps the sleeper status that much more intact, cuz i mean seriously...how many gold/champange color cars are out there modded??

ditto.

On top of that, I have also found that if you aren't specific to a certain colour, any colour will eventually grow on you over time.

Black is the ultimate color for almost any car out there. When clean, it produces reflections like a mirror, but in the summertime it is a bi*ch. I think PEBBLE BEIGE is a nice color it looks very sophisticated. It sure the hell beats green!

I think after '97 it is called 'sunlit sand'.

Either way I like the color. I don't see a lot of Maxima's around here anyway. Especially pebble beige/sunlit sand ones.

Well my paint code is EVO, not CG2, which 99% positive is Sunlit Sand..

95-96 pebble beige cars are slightly darker than 97-up sunlt sand cars, ive parked next to a couple in my town...

Eric

EDIT: i just looked it up, pebble beige ran through 95-98 (paint code CG2), and in 99, they switched to sunlit sand (paint code EVO) through 2003...

i've had a champagne maxima. Its very easy to make look pimping, however if you prefer the sporty look, i know a few people who have done an excellent job doing that or a combination of both.

MY opinion is to get chrome rims, preferably 17 or higher, drop the car, paint the front grille same color as car, get tints, red/clears, DC clears, and a kit (preferably stillen since you dont want to go overboard on a kit for a champagne max) and your car is perfect

few people who i know made the impossible possible is 1HOTMAX, and i remember two other guys, forget names...

black is nice, and i have black...but the problem with dirt is that its not black, so every little thing shows up on black paint

I go along with the sleeper comment 99Maxima5sp had, the champagne color can give you both a classy and sport look. That kid of...Bond, James Bond look.

Ok heres the breakdown...

If your car is a 95-98...it is Pebble Beige

If your car is a 99-03...it is Sunlit Sand...

They are not the same color...Pebble Beige is slightly darker....

And yeah, most people dont know the name, they just say gold, or champagne, or tan...

i have Pebble Beige and i admite @ fisrt it was not my favorit but it grows on you FAST... plus a paint job worth getting is going to set you back a MIN of 1500-1600... with that kind of chash you can do some sick mods to the look that would make it WAY WAY better the any color in stock

Except maybe granite pearl, which has this purplish tinge to it which has been described by another org member as "delicious eggplant".

PB Maximas are one of the best colors to have. Everyone ignores this color: police, state troopers, racers, overprotective parents, blind people, everybody!! I can get up on the highway and not really worry about getting stopped because a lot of people think my car can't or won't go that fast. When the car is clean it looks just like a mirror. Don't park in direct sunlight if you like seeing!
