Continuous 0101 error code
I have been having hard start problems for a long time now. Car will turn well, but not fire..... or it will start to fire and then keep turning..... almost like it is firing at the wrong time.... anyways... I have replaced the coolant temp sensor and camshaft pos sensor, cleaned the TB several times, replaced plugs, fuel filter, knock sensor and alternator. Recently I keep getting the 0101 code... I clear the code and it will come back after a few days after a rough start. I tested the sensor like the haynes says and it comes back okay... anyone have any ideas??.... I have had this starting problem since I turned 38,000 miles.... odo currently reads 116,000. If you need anymore info let me know. Thanks in advance.

Actually, that code is not the OXygen sensor...The o2 sensor is 1001 and NOt 0101. If you are looking in the Haynes book, there is a misprint regarding this code (1001) as 0101. The real code 0101 is about a different sensor. I don t remember the exact sensor s name and I don t have the book (haynes)with me ,but if you check the same book ,the real code 0101 is listed there. I am 100 % sure because I had a problem with the o2 heater 2 weeks ago. At this point,I wonder what sensor you cleaned...

I wonder if you ve got some problems with the wiring...Idon t see too many posts regarding the camshaft pesition sensor. If you already replaced the sensor,I d look very close to the wiring. In my situation,I had a 1001 code (o2 sensor heater) and the probs I had were in the connector . I connected & disconected maybe 8-10 times, and took a good look at the connectors, make sure that they are not in bad shape. It may or may not work for you, but not too much to loose at this point. You may need to have the dealership connect the Consult to your car...
