HIDs in, but I have a question about aiming/beam pattern.

I installed a 9004 conversion kit into the max about 3 days ago, and while I'm very happy with the light output and color, it seems like my drivers side headlight was aimed very far to the right, giving me poor visibility on the left side of the road. Last night I fixed this by re-aiming the headlight, but I needed to point it very far to the left just to make the beam go straight in front of my car. The passenger side light was fine, aimed straight ahead and flush with the grill, but my problem is, it simply looks strange having the drivers side headlight sticking out to the left, when the passenger side is flush with the grill and the beam pattern is equivilant to that of the drivers side. Is this normal?

Also, Ive read lots of stories about HIDs in our reflector housings being scattered all over the road but for whatever reason I'm not having that problem in the least bit, I can actually see two distinct beams in front of my car and a dead spot between the two. I guess this is a good thing, but strange nonetheless. For refrence, I'm using the McCulloch 9004 6000k conversion kit.

Hmmm....well My first HID kit was the McCulloch 6000k, I liked ti at first, till it started giving me problems. When I first put them in...the light output was awesome, I could see everything, but I had to reaim so that I wouldnt blind people and to get a good steady beam. Notmally, the right side headlight is suppose to be aimed a little higher than the left (or vice versa, cant remember). Now I have my headllights pointed to the same distance, could it be that some1 who owned the car before you re-aimed the headlights before? If you are the only owner than I dont know why the headlight is aimed to the right, unless you have some broken screws or something.

Well, I guess I should have probably mentioned the fact that I got into a small accident a while back and they had to replace the headlight housings, so I guess its possible that something was bent where the housings bolt on. OTOH, I never really noticed a difference prior to putting the HIDs in though, maybe it was simply because the light output on my old bulbs sucked so much.

Also, I'm curious, what problems did you have with the McCulloch kit, besides blinding people?

i "thought" mine was new, but I think I had some RMA rejects, which is why the price was so cheap.... never bothered to get a new one because it was going to be too much of a hassle, besides i wanted a better color
