question about oil...
I want to start using mobil 1 full synthetic, the car has 110k and this is the second synthetic oil change I will be doing. My question is how often should I change the oil? I heard 4k (i drive all city). The thing is i drive about 8k a year. Is it alright for the same oil to be in the engine for 6 months at a time. Also, should I put in any additives? As far as i know, maxima's aren't known to burn oil, even at high mileage???
thanks in advance for any advice

From what I heard, synthetic oil supposedly *lasts* up to arount 15k miles, which seems insane to me, but I would change every 5k. Not sure about how long time wise though. NO ADDITIVES! syn oil and regular oil has additives that help clean everything already.
6 months should be fine, but if you want to, do it every 4 months or something to keep it nice and clean.
