If not you can swing by one of these nights and check it out with me. If it is bad I am gonna swap. Don't suppose you read in NOPI Modified Mag this month did ya??? There is a 95 GXE Auto with a 150 shot and full exhaust runnin 12.1. Better watch your butt for next year homie..... And yes I did type write when I said AUTO!!!! HAHAHA It is maroon like yours..... I will save it for ya if you haven't seen it yet. Gimme a holler sometime tomorrow or whenever and we'll talk.

Hehe, actually, I think you can run a properly setup auto quicker than a manual. I'm sure you've seen the numbers that Jime is putting up.

Actually, I bought a compression tester today. I found some very interesting numbers...

rear bank: 211 - 197 - 219
front bank: 201 - 195 - 208

125K miles on motor.

What was the standard compression? 185? Greatest diff between cylinders? 14?

If the compression was low, I would worry. But a few of them seem freakishly high (219???). I wish I had checked before I ran 100lbs of nitrous though it. I just don't know what to think.

Still losing oil like crazy. I guess it's not rolling out of the tail pipe... there must be a spot that only leaks while I'm driving or something.

I'll try to stop out there after work. I'd like to see what your 157K motor has.

Wow, 219? Carbon buildup in the heads can increase compression, and can become hotspot sources for pre-ignition and detonation. You might think about having your heads decarburized if you're going to be running nitrous.

Just about any car parts store that sells tools will have one. Sears makes a good one with a gauge that is removable from the hose for ease of use.
