Fed or CA emissions?

I have a 1995 max and i wanna know how to tell whether or not my car is FED or CA emissions. I tried searching but i couldnt find anything specific enough. What's the easiest way? I need to know because my CEL is flashin 10-08 at me which has to do with the EVAP system. I need to know whether or not the car is FED or CA emissions so i know which canister to get. And to find out whether i'll be payin $120 (FED) or $40 (CA) for the new canister + valves. Please help

check to see where your EVAP canister is located. Either under the brake master cylinder (95 federal model) or behind the fuel tank on the left side (95 Cali or 96+ all models)

Code 10 08 has to do with the EVAP Solenoid Control Valve, check the FAQ's to be sure? Don't believe it is the EVAP canister....

I was lookin for the canister because i figured wherever the canister was, the valves should be somewhere in the vicinity.

Thats what i was hopin, that it would have been part of the VIN but i tried searching about it and came up empty handed. Ill take a better look on the car on a brighter day. I looked under the hood and didnt see it, but i also looked next to the fuel tank and didnt see it there either. Gotta double check. thanks for the help.

The 95 Cali spec and 96+ all models have the canister in the rear where another muffler could go if we had dual exhaust. Its a big black thing with hoses and stuff going to it, cant miss it. It takes up almost all the room between the spare tire well and the rear quarter panel.
