Auto - weird shifts

I got my 95 Max a year ago with 83K on the odo. It's got 93K now. The car was well taken care of by the previous owner who also had all service records. My Max, however, has never shifted smoothly since the day I got it. I am aware that our auto trannies are not the smoothest shifting ones nor they have the best shift logic, but I would just like someone to read this and either tell me that it's normal or give me an advice.
This is what happens on all upshifts (1-2, 2-3, 3-4):
in the middle of a shift it feels like the car brakes for a split second, i.e., feels like someone stepped on the brake for a brief moment before shifting to the next gear. It is so obvious that I can feel my butt move forward in the seat a bit.
I used to have a "0304 - Knock Sensor" CEL and "0504 - Automatic Transmission Control Unit Signal to ECU" code before but since I replaced the KS they have both been gone and haven't come back. When I pulled codes from the tranny I got "Throttle sensor circuit is shorted or disconnected". I checked the throttle position sensor and it checked out fine. I also tried to adjust it and it's adjusted according to specs. I am not getting any AT codes any longer. I also did a complete tranny flush a few thousand miles ago.
Does anyone else have the same symptoms or know what may be wrong here?

my mother's 95 had the same thing. . . she totalled the max before i could see how long before the tranny dies. . . but i think that those are signs of a tranny problem. . . i'd take it to a tranny shop to diagnose it, maybe it's something that you could fix and prevent the chance to blow the tranny.

Thanks Maxed... That's what I'm hoping to do.

Anyone else with the same problem?
