I went to the nissan dealership to get quoted on NGK coppers, and NGK platinums. For some odd reason, i got the same price for both (11 dollars each). I found this weird, but decided to go w/the platinums. I know the maximas come stock w/ngk platinums, but why are they both the same amt of money?


should i return them and get these instead for cheaper price??

Check your local Pep Boys or NAPA for the copper ones. The Pep Boys near me were out of stock, but NAPA had them. Got all 6 for a little over $12.

There is a knock sensor on ebay for $90 plus shipping. Some said that they have already bought from him, and said it was a good deal!

I happen to have a spare knock sensor lying around if you are interested.
It's used(came off my old sr20de motor that i threw a rod literally through the block in...too much nitrous not enough fuel).

I took it off the old motor on wednesday and it tested good on my VQ on thursday(no code, good ohm reading, etc.)

The motor had 140,000 mi. on it BUT the knock sensor only had about 15,000 mi. on it(purchased in late 2002). Was going to keep it as a spare for my max, but i need to buy a new blow off valve for my SE-R.

and before anyone asks if it works with the VQ, the answer is yes. It works with almost all nissan motors.

jatan's right, you SHOULD NOT pay ANY more than 3 bucks a piece for the coppers.
