General Brake Question

Hey guys, I know this is a maxima board and you have helped me out with a lot of questions about my max, but this is about my gf's car. Its a 99 Toyota Solara and the rotors were warped, so I had the rotors turned and put new brake pads on. The car stops fine, but it seems like you have to press harder on the brake pedal for it to stop. Before this it would stop on a dime. Any ideas? I have done brake jobs before and there really wasn't much too it on this car. Do you they have to break in? Would bleeding the system help? Thanks for any ideas.

If the pads are new, you need to let them break in.

I remember when I got my new tires put on, the car wouldn't stop like it used to, but after the tires where broken in, the car stopped fine. Tires and brakes aren't the same, but o well
