Do they really help?

I was thinking about putting in Stainless Steel Brake lines on my max, and i wanted to no if they were worth the money? and if so how much would these things go for?

I think they look awesome.....but they most likely wont gain anything for you. They may rust....but I'm not sure.

I wouldnt spend the $$$ for brake lines.

SS lines make the brake pedal feel much firmer, which is good for control. go to Group Deals forum, and look for one run by Automax_95.

Hmmm...SS lines = metal...compared to 3-8 year old rubber brake lines. Yes, I do believe we have a winner.

I think you ahve to also consider changing the fluid from DOT3 to DOT4 if you change the lines. they are more for show than go unless you go the extremes with your maxima.

I only paid $40 for mine (from a friend). I don't think they're worth $100 or whatever. I didn't notice a difference in pedal feel that people claim you will.

I do, however, like the fact that they are stronger than the rubber lines and less likely to rip or puncture if I were to run something over in just the wrong way.
