Peoples Take on Underdrive Pully?

Among the different HP increase purchases I would like to make....

What types of experiences have people had with their lighter Underdrive pullies?

They worth it?

For what it's worth, I am not going to do major engine mods. But have always read for some other cars I have owned they were a worth while purchase.

Thanks,

Matt

I realize you are knew. please use the SEARCH button at the top of your screen. There are tons of other threads on this.
Try searching for UDP in titles only too.
Thanks

I think it's worth it! I got mine and you can tella slight differnece in the car. It just frees up HP in the engine. So instead of using the HP to move a heavier pulley it uses less to move a lighter one therefore a slight HP gain. I know when I got mine I felt a difference in the gas pedal. I dunno why.***But don't go with RVM!!!*** Go with Definative or Unorthodox....

yeah, its worth it. Car revs faster, and has more power when you turn the a/c on. You gain a few horses through the entire power band.

To you guys that run a UDP, do ya have high powered stereos with amps? Any issues with dimmed lights from alternator turning less rpms than stock.? I'm down for the gains from weight loss of an alum pulley, but am not particularly crazy about under driving the accessories.

OK that's fine.
I didn't find any outdated opinions when I searched though......
maybe it is me, but it seems that this UDP has been beaten to death.
New info is always nice, but I am not sure there is much new info that has not already been said. I would not mind seeing dynos of before and after UDPs with turbo.

So staying on topic, I have a nice sized amp with my UR UDP and I do not have problems.

Thanks for the reply on the underdrive pully.

I had not read to far into the FAQ.'s I guess.

Your FAQ's are very good. They answer alot of questions sometimes they dont' answer exactly what I wanted to hear.

So for the people that get bugged by people that are new, I am sorry. Still getting a feel for the site. To those that have helpped me thank you very much.
