Install: 7-colour angel eye foglights from Custom Maxima

I was wondring if anyone could please shed some light on the 7-colour angel eye foglights from Custom Maxima. I have a 1995 SE with stock foglights and I was wondering if these would replace them (fit in the same holes) or how else they are to be installed?

Thanks for any help.

You get the whole light assembly... not just the rings I think...

from here: http://www.custommaxima.com/AngelEyeFogLights.php

I e-mailed Custom Maxima to send me a copy of the install instructions because I am thinking about buying the foglights... but I want to make sure on the how-to for the install before I shell out $100 on lights. In any case, as usual, I have never received an e-mail response from them.

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to replace the stock foglights, in the SE foglight holes with these.

I'm still trying to understand how these are installed... I cannot visualize how they affect the stock setup... lol

I would hope that they replace the stock SE foglights in some way... but HOW?

You got a picture of the back end? Those look like direct replacements for the 2000+ fogs.

Nope, just those... I grabbed them off the Custom Maxima website. Here are pics of them on the site, installed on a Maxima, but I cannot tell if they replace the SE foglights or if they are installed next to them... that is why I want directions so that I can see for myself exactly what is involved... or if anyone else here has done it.

That's exactly what I said... hoping that someone here who has installed them on a gen 4, in the stock SE foglight holes can lend a hand.

Ah that doesn't help me at all then. I was hoping that it is the stock SE bumper... with the stock foglights replaced.

I e-mailed one of the other org members about them, and this is what he had to say:

1: installation in place of my stock lights required about 2 hours at the shop.
2: they looked kinda of cheap....didn't want to replace bulbs every month.

I have been talking to Matt at Umnitza (they made the demon eye headlights for the 2k2/2k3 and they are working on something similar th these, but not as cheap looking for the gen 4. Matt actually himself said that they wouldn't sell this particular set that I posted about.

I'm trying to talk to him re: gen 4 projector headlight housings (maybe with BMW style demon eye headlights)... and more importantly dual beam.

I'll post another thread gauging interest in a GD.

They are just aftermarket fog lights, like any other. They come with the wires and the hardware (i.e mounting bracket etc.) you remove the stock FOG lights with the little screw in the corner of it. Then take the mount bracket put it in that hole and put the fog light it and connect wires, etc. shape doesn't matter its all about how its mounted. I think the white one look cool, the other colors just dont look right like the red or green. blue might be ok.

Thanks for your reply.

So these angel eye foglights come with mounting brackets that will fit the stock SE foglight holes, and it would replace the entire stock foglight housings?

*cough* ghetto *cough* the white looks alright...and the blue might look good on a dark car, but like Mmmaxx said, the rest of the colors are pretty ugly

wow.....fast and furious and then 2 fast 2 furious comes out, and all the sudden its "ohh i need colored lenses" and LED on my car. If its a show car, i can maybe see, but if you are building a car stomper, better keep that thing so it isnt so distinguishable. gets you into less trouble. Besides, the square look flows better than the round look.

Yes, you just take the stock one out (very easy) afaik these come with the mounting brackets. IF they didn't it would be a worthless purchase. You can probably easily mount them in the center in the lower opening, but you can't use both sets of fog lights at the same time while driving, laws are dumb. Aftermarket fog light install are usually a universal setup so they work on any car, which usually means the install is simple. We installed some carbon fiber oval things on my friends car in like 10 minutes.

Whomever even thinks about putting these foglights in ADDITION to the stock foglights needs to be shot and burried in dung.

The pics of these angel eye fogs on custom maxima looks awesome... but unfortunately the pics are all in pitch dark, and no daytime pics. Something tells me that they did that for a reason - that being that the round foglights mounted in the stock square foglight location in the bumper looks stupid.

Scrap that gay idea... I'm going back to putting my money into ***** and not bells...

Custom Maxima does a great job of marketing... I got caught up for a minute there. No daytime pics should throw up a red flag. I also talked to a couple of org members who bought them, looked at them and then promptly sold them...
