TPS ghost code and knock sensor test
I have a 95 maxima se and recently checked the computer. The ckeck engine light is not on, but I get a 0403 (TPS) code.Ive reset the ecm and this code comes back. I checked the resistance, with engine hot, on the tps and it was 480, and when i raise it at first (for like less than a milimeter)it goes down to 460, but then back up smoothly to 4200 ohms.Would this make a difference? Also, while i was testing the tps i checked the knock sensor, with the wire at the first connector. I got a 48 M ohm reading yesteday, and today i could not get a reading at all.Just curious to see if the knock sensor needed replacement at 92000 miles, and wouldnt the computer catch this?

Dude, disconnect the Knock sensor and drive your car like that for 10-20 miles. If you feel a loss in power then replace it. Also check the codes again and make sure it's 0403, not 0304(long beeps, first number, short beeps second number) If you still got trouble, hell I'll go there and help you...

I just think something is wrong if i cant get a read on the knock sensor.I trying it at the first connector, i dont want to have to take it out, but i will if i have to.Has anyone one else had this problem when reading knock sensor? One time i got a 750 kOhm reading?
