What is a CORE SUPPORT?

hey,
the dude who is working on my car says I need a new core support. What is this and what does it look like. Also where can i buy this from online..

Are you refering to a radiator core support? Was your car in a frontal collision?

yes it was in a front collision

The radiator support is the metal beam that runs across the front of the car. Most likely, it's the part you lean on when looking into the engine from the front. You'll notice two metal brackets with rubber bushings in them on both the right and left, which support the two pin extensions off of the radiator. The beam is usually the first to be damaged in a frontal collision once the bumper deforms.

Yes, it can be ordered online, but your bodyshop should probably just get it with the rest of the parts.
