Man, I just recently installed my Altezza's last night, and today on my way back from the mall, I got cut off by some red cheap a$$/bondod/babyblue body kit/ no hood/ honda civic. That sucker cut me off, him came from behind me from the middle lane, he came out of nowhere. He stayed infront of me for the longest time, unfortunatley I was with my girlfriend, and she gets freaked out, when I'm speeding, so I had to let that crap car go, then after I dropped her off, I went home, at a stop light, I rolled up besides a ponitac grand prix, I was just bummin the radio, and these fools give me that look like, (I'll smoke you) so I was like whatever, so the light hits green and I smash the pedal, tires peel a little, and I took off, I could see from behind he floored it too, I just kept going, he was trying to catch up but he was getting caught up in traffic, and well he turned left. So much for that. But any how I've been getting this kinda of stuff since I've installed my exhaust and my altezza's. I do like the extra attention, but not that crazy $hit where you'll follow a fixed up car, cutting people off to catch up to him, just to rev at him, and so forth. Oh well, there in for a surprise, I'll tell you that.

 

What do you expect when you put that ****ty *** garbage on your car, especially on a white car. That's what you get for making your car look like ***. Unless they're black/cf gen2 altezzas those look a bit better...

Ivelweyz, why are you not a fan of altezz'a I like the red/clears too man, but I dont see people offering those to me. I feel Altezza's make my ride look cleaner.

That is because not many people actually know if red and clear is mod or stock. and street racing big

 

Because of the reason you stated, you get hassled by pansy rice boys. I already have a loud exhaust but apparently it must sound really good/deep cause they don't mess with me. If I had a fart can cannister I'd be racing at every light. Also the maxima altezzas really look like ****. Unless you make them into skyline tails they are awfull. Even the dark ones, cf and black, look ricey as hell...

 

lol, alright I feel you man, But one thing thou, my exhaust is not some cheap *** fart can, it has a nice deep throtty tone. LOL and I am going to paint my altezza to make them look like the skyline tails, unless I do get the actual skyline tails from a r33 or r34 i forgot which one fits.

its just my style, I would make my ride look all luxury, but ****, I've rather have ***** in my ride, than 18's and dvd players, and 3 12's in the trunk.

 

Do that and all the ***** you put in the car are going out the window. Why would anyone need subs, let alone 3? Put 2 loudspeakers in the rear deck and you have nice thump without the 200lbs of crap in the trunk...

A) Cutting holes large enough for subwoofers in your rear deck will mess with the structural integrity of your car.

B) A well put together stereo is worth the extra 100lbs it puts in your car (imo)

C) Altezza's do not add "*****" to your car, and neither does a cat-back exhaust.

D) (personal opinion) Altezza's belong on ...... Altezzas.

 

i think the altezzas make the car look clean also...i used to have red clears but i did not like the stock honduh civic look, so i got the altezzas and i am about 2 paint them.

 

I never said anything about cutting holes did I? I have 2 6.5" loudspeakers/subs rated at 175W RMS...

 

except I think aftermarket altezzas look like crap on EVERY car... only altezzas I like are the STOCK ones on the IS300

i think they would look a lot better than the regular chrome altezzas.

 

well those are gen2's, even the chrome gen 2s would look worlds better than black gen 1s...

 

Okay guys listen...I know i'm relatively new here, but just because you don't care for something doesn't mean you should put them down. I don't like certain things about cars...keeping it bone stock with teeny rims and just do nothing with it but engine mods...but that's my thing, everyone has their own opinion. I like the altezzas, and frankly to a point i like the ricer look (but clean, not ridiculously stupid). And i know a ton of you guys on the forum like bone-stock, no visual mods, don't care about a stereo, etc., but that's your game. leave them alone!

second, subwoofers in the trunk make so much more of a difference than some 6x9s with an amp...subs will create that low-end rumble that only subwoofers can produce...some big speakers in the back window will only bring through highs. a 10 can be great for anything all around with punch, 12's are good, nice mix of rumble and punch, while 15s shake the ground, but leaves the punch up to the front speakers. 8's are nice for jazz, blues, and some rock. And, the average speaker weighs only about 10-30 lbs...and they all have different weights. with a box tops for 1 speaker should be about 50...enough to compromise about 1 hp. Also, the smaller the magnet, the less the power, which means you can get a small 12lb subwoofer in a 8lb mdf box, with a 6 lb amp, 26lbs, run about 100 watts, more than enough for any stock (or basic aftermarket) system.

Also, "*****" for the car would be anything that adds aggressiveness and/or power. While to one a CF hood may look awful and a waste of money, the next may see it looks great and decreases overall vehicle weight. A hi-flow cat may not improve looks, but sure will give you an extra hp or two, maybe enough time to smoke that civic that's been waiting for you. Such as altezzas, stereo, springs, anything of the sort...I can tell you from my experience a kickin stereo will get my adrenaline running higher when running wot, and keeps me more alert to notice things on the road. It's my favorite thing about my car. but someone else who doesn't care as much about music may get all the rush he/she needs from a can of nitrous and a high-output engine.

Just my $.02, don't yell at someone or tell them their ideas suck because you don't like them. Yell at someone if they crash their max into a concrete wall on purpose.

Loudspeakers/subs? What?!? We need to have a serious chat, subs rarely come in 6.5" sizes, and they usually aren't in a loudspeaker/sub combo. Loudspeakers? - Maybe you mean midranges or coaxials, possibly component system if you have seperate tweeters, but 6.5" doesn't really give you anything comparable to having subs in the trunk. I wouldn't be writing this, but lately you've been really [REALLY] obnoxious to people who ask questions. You expect them to speak the automotive language fluently, and are going off on people way too much. Get a life. No, really, I mean it.

The whole sub thing is really stupid to me. You put all that **** in the trunk and you never use more than 1/2 of it. On most the cars it sounds like *** cause the idiot doesn't know what dynamat is. As for the loudspeakers theyare single cones with a low frequency range...

 

I have to agree with se007...the posts i have seen that you have posted has been nothing but cussing someone else out because you don't like their opinion. sure, i do understand that it is a forum for all to discuss, but no one has the right to tell someone what they like or don't like is ****. constructive criticism vs abusive criticism.

and loudspeakers...okay...those are basically the same thing as a sub, except with a little wider range, just in a different form. They are great for home stereo, as what they are designed for, opposed to car stereo. I'm not gunna put my technics home stereo speakers in my trunk, i want something designed for the dynamic range of a car. also, a good set of subs with a correctly dynamatted trunk sounds awesome. i don't get down with 18 subs pumpin out 7000 watts each, shaking a home the next state over (how are you gunna hear any high-end with that much power on your lows?!?), i'm only runnin 2 10's in a bandpass with about 125w going to each, with roughly 27w continuous to each of the front stage speakers. i don't need dynamat, my trunk barely rattles. sounds beautiful.

just all we're asking is to respect others. I don't call you a ******** for having certain things in your car, i don't expect you to say my choice of tail lights is ****ty.

 

Please show me one of those threads. I don't go off on people for their opinions. I go off on them when they ask questions that are answered in the FAQ or the damn thread below theirs. We have a search feature for a reson. It's ok for them if they have no time and are in a hurry. It's stupid though when they go, I need help right away, I'm in a hurry, and they spend the next 4 hours asking more questions instead of going where ever they were in a hurry to...

 

The only reason I know what you post is that 90% of the threads I look at have you going off on someone. I don't know what your problem is (well, actually I do, it's called immaturity) and maybe you should learn to deal with you anger in other ways. Prozac may be the answer, who knows. Going off on people is mostly all you do on here. THAT'S how I know what you post. I'm not accusing only you of doing it, but you are the only one on here who seems to be dedicating their time on the .org to putting people down. Thanks, Dave, I totally agree with you. Mayeb you should check out the reast of the thread and the other thread HE made. Almost all the MODERATORS were going off on him for posting BS. They made it a sticky cause they knew he was full of it. Maybe some other example cause that one as really bad...

You seem to have that effect by stating a lot of stuff that isn't necessarily true.

Show me some decent quality 6.5" speakers that can produce frequencies of 30-60hz at a 100-115dB output. 175 watts sure as hell going to do it, it might make a neat smoke show when you blow them up though.

 

and it needs to be locked and deleted.
