New here need some help

I have a 96 se, just had the front struts replaced and that cured the major rattle, but now I have another rattle not as noisy as the first but still pretty bothersome. Is there something the mechanic could have missed when putting in the new struts. I bought the struts from the parts store and was going to install them myself, but just had to many prior comitments so I found a mechanic to install the struts for me. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Also where can you pick up the front hood shocks, is that correct? the hydraulic pistons to hold the hood up? Sorry I purchased this car last year when my son was hit in my altima, it was totaled so i don't know to much about maximas so I thought I better find a board where everyone know something about them.

Thanks
Tom

Its a 96 se with just under 90k miles with automatic.

I would say check your strut mount. If the nut is not centerd in the middle of the strut mount most likely that the source of your problem. If not let me know a little more detail, like do you hear it over bumps or when you turn the wheel etc....

Thank you for such a quick reply. Yes your correct, noise when I hit bumps, like something is loose or the strut was not tightend correctly or another bushing is missing. Now it's not as bad when the old struts were on, but enough to cause alot of concern. And a slight noise when turning. When I drive it in the morning I will email more info.
