I am looking into buying some rims for my 98 MAXIMA. I found some that i like and was wondering if they would fit my CAR. The Bolt Pattern is 5X114.3 . However, I dont know the OFFSET for the rims....Does the Offset matter if the Bolt Pattern fits?? Also the rims I am looking at came off of a 96 Explore / and were also on a 91 Ford Probe. ( The rims are 17's)......

Thanks!

First I must advise you that I am no "Rim Expert"

I once mounted 16" Pony wheels on my my 95 and the fit fine; I don't know what the offset is but it's from a rear drive car which is the situation you have.

I wouldn't pay alot for those rims as there are rim specials around where you can get 17's for less than 100 bux a piece. check out discountire.com

I just picked up a set of 17x7 enkei fubuki's for 90 bux each

I don't know about that price. It may or may not be good. Only thing else I can suggest is if you're going to buy them, have em spun w/o tires to verify they are good.

that is not a bad deal, but how much tread is left in the tires

i'm no expert either, but the wheel width is important as well, try looking at tirerack.com they can probably answer your offset and other questions

Rims are Nich Bella's 17x7.5 and the Bolt Pattern is 5X114.3. 80% of the tire is left ...for a total $900 for everything.

1) Is this a Good deal?
2) Should i be worried about the offset or it doesn't matter then the Bolt Pattern Fits?... Do the same Bolt Pattern come in Differnt offset's ?????
3) And the tire is 225/45/17

As you can see I am Confused! help! Can all this work?

Thanks

I looked over the FAQ , but it doesn't really address my questions. With 5X144.3 bolt pattern is the offset predermind by the manafacture? or does it varry? 225 tire should work ? right...
