ok after 157,000 on this trans (stock) with a act clutch street. it blew just 1st and 2nd. (don't even wanan go in)(goes in 3,4,5,R and moves/drives) so im looking for a new trans, do all the 95-99 trans bolt up. i belive thier all non-locking right (maxima)? i was thinking about getting a locking one from I30. ARE THESE GOOD.
or should i just get a stock one again and have the freaking bearing failer again.

and tips would be great thanx. and price range. im gonan install it myself.

 

will be getting mine back tomorrow, get an Exedy clutch, they are less harsh but still give you 33% over stock. All in all Including clutch, labor, tranny with 6 month warantee, and cutting the flywheel i was at about $2400. Man minus 350 labor, and my price is a little high.

 

95-99 Maxima open diffs will work
96-99 are the years LSD was offered with the I30(not all of them had LSD however)
also '00-'01 work...in '01 the 20th anniversary ed. had LSD

you should be able to find a decent open diff for $500-600

and a decent LSD for $900-1000. depends what you want...

GET RID OF YOUR ACT while you replace the trans...my trans blew with ACT a couple weeks ago too. The clutch doesnt work with our cars.
