Just bought a '97 GLE, it's got 60,000 miles. What a ride! I do have one concern though. I am hearing a "groan" from the right side rear. At full stop when I get off the brake and start to roll is when I hear this noise. Almost a like something is in a bind. I can roll a few feet and stop, then let off the brake and roll forward and hear it. Only lasts a second or two. I've only noticed it when the car has been driven a while, never heard it when cold. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas? I've been lurking here for the past few days since I found the site. Love it...TIA

It almost sounds like your brake is sticking cause I would think that a bad wheel bearing would not be heard until at a higher speed. Check to see if it is sticking. One way that comes to mind is to raise the problem wheel and push on the brake, release and then try to move it by hand. If it seems to hard then it is probably sticking. Most likely would be the caliper. I guess one other thing could be the parking brake is staying engaged(slightly) but not sure. Good luck!
