Reverse Indiglo Gauges

Ok, for all you people that have thses gauges, did you have to remove the needles when installing them? Cause I am about to buy a set and want to know if they are hard to install. I have a 96 max.

No do not remove the needles. You can slide the needle through the hole in the middle. Getting them on there isn't hard, getting them not to stick is a little tough...I used double sided tape. My real problem is getting power to them. I still ahven't done that yet.

to get the power run them into the dimer switch with the ground going to an open one on the back of the gauges.

i was tryin' to respond to the previous posts about your gauge problems, but the server was ******' up.

there should be more than one wire running to your dimmer switch (my 99 has 3 wires); just try one of the other dimmer wires and make sure you're grounded the new gauges; you should've attached the ground wire to the back of the gauge cluster (use one of the GRND screws...should be 1 or 2 on the back).

if that don't work, double-check all your connections...

I bought some fo the silver reverse indiglo guages off of ebay.. Im about to instal them in a few weeks. I recently bought those intelliglow blue needle kits for 71$ shipped and a stainless steal looking back to fill in for the oem black background. It came with a big a$$ dimmer switch and Im in the process of trying to figure out where Im going to mount that.
