ground control creaking...

Hey folks,

I just installed ground control coilovers, and was wondering what other people have done to get rid of the creaking. When I am stopped or moving slowly, I hear a real bad sounding creak. Sounds like a god damn boat. Anyway... I wonder if there is something I did wrong, or does this happen to everyone with ground controls? thanks for any feedback, kevin

I couldn't do anything about it. I think GCs put considerably more weight on the strut bearings and crush them on the front.

thanks for the reply... I finally got a chance to do a good search without the error message popping up every page, and I read about some people putting some lube on the strut bearings. So I am going to give that a shot. And if anyone is interested in getting gc, they were just as expected. Looks badass, bumpy ride, and corners awesome now. Just damn embarrasing when pulling out of a parking spot and all you hear is crrrrreeeeeeeeeeeaaak.

I guess thats what I get for being cheap... This does happen to eveyone with gc??? I guess I actually installed them correctly then. 1max2nv: anything bad with having the sprints on in the snow? I got the gc so I could raise them when the snow comes, but now I think I might just go with sprints.

Ground clearance is one issue in the snow...but more importantly is what kind of tires. I made it through few winters with sprint...so ground clearance isn't really an issue with me.
