97 Max 5 spd vs. 94 Del Sol Vtec turbo

So I was coming home tonight looking for a couple ricers here in phoenix and nothing. Finally about 2 miles from my house I see a 94 del sol vtech with rims and gauges. All I have is a CAI and unorthodox udp. I have a warpspeed
y-pipe in my house with the cat and Apexi WS to come in a week. I gave him a little rev in 1st at about 30 and he was down. I could see his boost gauge and thought how funny it would be to beat a 2 door honda with a turbo with a somewhat stock max.

I was was even with him through 1st gear, started pulling about a half car length through 2nd, and then he pulled to about a half a car length ahead of me by the end of 3rd, when I shifted into 4th he stopped getting faster and I passed him.

Does this seem about right for my maxima. I know ill kill cats like this when my exhaust is on. Car-stats has a del sol vtech at 15.8 with a 0-60 of 7.4. My best G-tech time is 15.3 something.

Uh, how do you know he was turbo? Because of the guages? I would say 90% of the guys with guages don't have squat.

No, I could hear his blow off valve between shifts and that sound. You cant tell me you dont know a turbo when you hear it right next to you.

Yeah, but with a turbo he could have 130 hp which gives him a much better power to weight ratio.

yeah, I know.

I just get a good laugh out of the whole double-digit horsepower thing; my friend drives a del-sol and I tease him about it constantly.

an actually that particular del sol has 160 hp and 111 tq and it only weighs 2600lbs.
I also still dont have my NGK platinums installed yet or my apexi power intake filter. Doing this on Sun along with new pcv valve. Couple weeks Y-pipe,substrate cat, and Apexi WS go in. Should make HUGE inprovement I hope
