I have a 98 maxima and I was trying to change the bulbs in my clearance lights, but the housing would not come out. I removed the screw under the hood, and tryed to pry it out with a flat headed screw driver with a cloth, like the owners manual said. I was able to get it partially out, but it theres something else holding it in, kinda like a plastic screw. I don't know how to remove it and now I can't get it fully back in. Any idea how to take this out without breaking anything?

I had the same problem before. It really started to stress me out so I sat down and just looked at it for a minute. That little prong that holds it in there is super tight. I took a little WD40 and put on the prong and the little hole it goes in. I worked it out with a prybar and cloth gently and when it was out far enough, I worked it out with my hands. It's just at an odd angle when it's coming out. Be patient and work on it...it's worth the wait.

Yeah, I tried putting the flat headed screw driver between the socket joint and the light, and turn and it seemed to give out a little, so i was able to pry it out all the way this time.
