i have a 96 max with a manual transmission that wan rebuilt about 3 or 4 months ago. thismorning after i backed out of ym parking space and tried to shif tout of reverse, the shifter would not budge. it was stuck in reverse and no amount of force would move it. any ideas on what could be wrong? thanks.

 

When my tranny blew...I had the same problem you just explained..and I made the mistake of rebuilding it like you. The bearings are probably shot...time to get another transmission. Welcome to the club...hope it all works out.
