hard transmission shift 1 to 2nd 41k..under warranty?

I dunno about you guys, but ever since i bought the car i feel a hard shift from 1st gear to 2nd....ive read some posts online, but i think there mite b something wrong with a tranny.

I even changed my tranny oil at 11k when the car was brand new..same problem exists..a hard shift.especially noticeable in teh morning...

i've got 41k now. so im thinking it should be covered under warranty. I called up rt 22 nissan in hillside in nj...they freakin want 80 bux for a diagnosis fee...which is kinda gay if it is sup to be under warranty ! You think I have to remove my intake/exhaust/etc?

if you have any suggestions let me know before i dish out 80 bux

try changing to amsoil tranny fluid, its synthetic and improves shift smoothness.

Unfortunately, they all do that.

Try some AMSoil as suggested.

i have the same problem.....my tranny was rebuilt and when i got it back, hard shift from 1 to 2... don't even go to nissan....the only diagnosis they'll give you is "you need a new tranny" trust me, i was there just last friday....bottom line is, I don't know what's wrong yet, but they shop that rebuilt it originally has been working on the car since monday and it's still not ready....hang on for a few days and when i get it back i'll tell you what was wrong on MINE......i'm not saying it's gonna be the same thing on yours, but at least you'll know where to start.....
i suggest taking a drive to Garfield, NJ there is a great transmission shop on Midland Ave....you might have to leave the car for the guy for a few hours but he'll tell you what's wrong, how to fix it, how long to fix it, and HOW MUCH.......
Sam

BTW: The shop I told you about in Garfield is not the shop that fixed my tranny wrong......i highly recommend the place.....pm me if you're interested and i'll find out the phone number for you.
