Our code was P0443...Will that be the correct part for that code?

Jteer1971...pull the connector plug from your ECPVC as shown in the great pics above and check the pins ON THE VALVE as suggested using an ohm-meter. I imagine you'll find that it's faulty considering the code you have.

Shell...where did you end up buying one instead of the Stealership?

Yes, you most likely unplugged the harness to get at your knock sensor and did not put it on properly. Thats exactly what i did and after clipping in the harness i lost my ecu codes

i've had this exact same problem with the EVAP Purge Volume Control Valve. In the pics in the previous page, is the evap purge volume control valve the metal part or the plastic part?

Did you not read his post? It's the entire thing.

Bumping a 2 year old thread for not reading, and after you already got your answer in the newbie thread

the canister and the valve are too differnent things.

I had this issue and it was cuz the wire harness fo rthe valve was all corroded and and new wires needed to be connected.

I wd say these thing last forever. jus trace the wires to see if there is a short. Or check the FSM for troubelshooting
