Speedo light out!!!!

I was trying a few combinations on bulbs for the dash when they stopped working completly. I was trying to get that really bright electroluminesant look, like the bright white in a Lexus.
I found bulbs that would fit the holders, but when I put more than 1 of them in my gauge lights went out as well as all the lights that are controlled by the dimmer switch.
I checked my fuses and didn't find any that were blown. I am thinking that I blew out the dimmer switch. I was told from someone here on the Org. that if any those switches are not connected than the dash lights won't work. Does that also mean that if any of them are blown they won't work either?
Please get back to me because I can't really drive at night like this. Also does anyone know where I can find a dimmer switch cheap?

I really cant help you on this, but how did you hook up christmas lights to your power supply? IIRC, those take 110v AC power, while your car produces ~12v DC power

If your dimmer switch is fried, all interior illumination controlled by the switch will not work.

I believe the switch can handle somewhere around 3A only. How much load did you add on?
