Are aftermarket non-performance mufflers as quiet as OEM mufflers?
Right now I'm running an aftermarket Y-pipe. My original muffler was rusting, so I had a straight-through design Magnaflow muffler installed. I had an additional 12" resonator installed since it was too loud. I am still not happy with the noise.
Here is my question:
Will other aftermarket, non-performance mufflers be as quiet as the OEM muffler? I am asking this question because I've seen people refer the OEM muffler as being designed specifically to eliminate the lower RPM drone from the Maxima's engine.
