y-pipe problem! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,
I would search but I can't, so here goes...

I installed my y-pipe and after the install, I took it for a ride. It was very nice that night, but the next morning on the way to work, my Max started jumping on me. As my foot was on the pedal, it felt like the gas would cut off for a split sec, then cut back on, so the car would jump a little bit. It would do that every few seconds or so but I was lucky to be close to work. When I was a few hundred feet from work, I had to stop at a stop light, and then all of a sudden, my car stalled. I have an automatic though. So I start it again, but it was kind of a hard start, like it didn't really want to; the engine had to crank harder than usual.

During work, I got a break so I went about a quarter of a mile up the road to get some food. On the way there, my car stalled again, and I wasn't even at a full stop. Then it stalled in the Wendy's parking lot. Then it stalled as I was pulling into the parking space. I was able to get it back to work after that. Then, after work, I went to drive to a local hardware store to find stainless nuts that go on the y-pipe and when I got to the parking lot, my car stalled again. This time, it wouldn't start back up. I tried evrything, and after a while, it seemed like the battery was dead.
So I jump started the car and let it sit for a while (without the headlights on) and it seemed fine. Then I turned on the headlights and let it sit for a while again, and when I got back, then engine had cut off. Now I was pi$$ed!

Basically, to make a very long story shorter, I changed the battery and even reset the ecu. On the drive home though, the car started jerking again.
I got home and retightened all of the nuts, and realized some of them came a little loose. Then I took it for a spin, but once again, it started stalling on me again as I come to a stop or slow down.

During the install, I wasn't able to get one of the nuts off ( one of the two on the Cat) so I just took the whole bolt off. Now the Cat Converter and the new y-pipe are vice clamped together ( I plan on drilling thrpugh the whole section and putting in my own bolt and nut). Is that my problem? Also, the O2 sensors do not want to go all the way in, but I keep on trying to toghten them, but they do not want to go any further. So it's loose but, only to the point where the washers are able to turn, but the socket won't. Any ideas? Anybody have the same problems? Could it be the alternator?

I know his was a long thread, but I really appreciate you taking your time reading it and helping out a fellow Max owner.

THD

Clamping has to be the problem. They should be bolted together. I'm not sure it the O2 sensors are an issue if they are able to read O2 levels from where they are.

the CEL is not on, but I think deezo is right. There is a tiny bit of a slit that probbaly does not get covered by clamping it. I'm going to need to drill that new hole for a nut and bolt and try it out.
let's cross our fingers! Also, what does it mean when the O/D light flashes? It usually does that when I restart it from a stall.
Thanks aga
in for reading that long thread guys!
