Where is the thermostat in the 96' Max?

Where is the thermostat in the 96' Max?
Looks like it might be on the left side of the engine (standing in front of car) above the alternator??

under your air box, just follw the upper radiator hose and its there

If I'm not mistaken it's not in the upper radiator hose but the lower radiator hose. The thermostat is actually part of the lower radiator hose neck that gets connected to the block. I THINK. Don't Quote me
