Hey, Im wanting to put together as many audio and video files together as I can of different types of 4th Gen Maxima setups. I need a new one myself. Please post or email me your audio/video of your exhaust. Be sure to tell what it is and list any other exhaust mods that might effect its overall sound.

If you are planning on making one. The best types are:

1. Idle - outside the car
2. High Rev - outside the car
3. Wide Open - Throttle outside

Looking for : OBX, Stillen, Apexi WS, Greddy SP, Greddy SP2, Megan Racing, and any number of b pipe/muffler combinations. (example: like me warpspeed b pipe with magnaflow muffler )

Thanks, hey this may take a while but once complete it will make a terrific resource so 4th gen owners can make better buying deceisions the first time rather than guessing.

i have a digi cam with camcorder features. Just bought a 256 SD memory card for 48 bucks!! I'll be taking clips real soon, maybe after work tomorrow

I beg to differ. Drive a maxima with headers, y pipe, straight thru pipe replacing the catalytic convertor, Greddy Evo. It roars !!!!!!
this is the girlfriend's I just drive it all the time cause I don't wanna mod my Maxima.

 

Hahahahah, the greddy evo is resonated. That is what helps keep the noise down.

I have a cattman y, cat, custom b pipe with no resonator, and a strait through muffler (apexi N1) without silencer.

 

i have apexi n1, with resonator taken out...idunno how to record it and import on here or i would..

 

Is it real? It looks fake, like the ebay ones. Mine does not look anything like that.

 

Once i get my new rear section of my exhaust setup installed (custom B-pipe, Flowmaster 80-series dual exhaust) then ill post up some sounds clips.

Right now im running a budget Y, DynoMax SuperTurbo Dual exhaust with many exhaust leaks so i wont even bother...

i tried to record my exhaust today with a camcorder, but all it did was record the street noises, not much of the exhaust stuff. any recommendations?

 

i recorded my exhaust during morning time when i first started up my car through a camera with camcorder features. I emailed it to ceaser chariot, hopefully he posts it tomorrow.

My setup is : warpspeed y-pipe (cheaper one) and obx full stainless steel catback

I also have some sound clips of me driving WOT but u kind of hear my intake more than my exhaust. If u guys want to see that one (from inside and outside) let me know.

 

dam i have two files, one from outside and one from inside but both are too big to send through email, even after trying to winrar them (17 mb and other is 16 mb). Any ideas on how to send these? i guess through sendfile? file 100_0003 and 100_0006

i remember the maxima meeting we had few weeks ago, somma the guys heard ur exhaust and said " thats 1FSTMAX, he coming". and then 2 min after we saw u workin ur way up the lot.

 

i jus ordered an obx catback from ssautochrome on ebay. i'll post after i install.

I beg to differ thrice. Try running no piping after the cat. Drove like this for a week because I was painting the piping. It almost made me **** my pants after 3k. Past that I couldn't even see.

 

Try running with a open y pipe.
