Hey Guys,

I was sitting around trying to guess at what kind of HP my max was making and then thought I needed to have a dyno, but until then anyone want to take a stab at what kind of hp my 97 maxima se has and what it might weigh ? Most of the aftermarket exhaust pieces are lighter than stock. From reading on the org im guessing around 175-180 hp, and i have no idea what the 97 model loaded would weigh. If I had weight of the car and 1/4 mile time I could figure out hp right ?

Clues:

Track Time:
Best time at track :14.39 @ 95.31 mph

Mods:
Injen Intake
Ypipe
Test Pipe
B Pipe
Magnaflow Muffler
Unorthodox Racing Underdrive Pulley
Technosquare upgraded ecu
backseat and spare removed for 1/4 mile

Weight:
This Maxima came with every option: sunroof, dual power seats (leather) bose stereo, loaded. ( general weight around 3000 )

Sticker Weight (not sure what this is, got it off the door):
GVWR/PNBV 4273 lbs
GAWR/PNBE FR: 2352 RR: 1953
(no idea on the 4 thousand pounds)

I'm guessing 3040-3050Ibs and 175-185 at the wheels if your 5-spd running good.

I'm guessing that in race form (1/4 gas, no spare, removed bench) your Max (pre-race seats) probably weighed in around 2970lbs. I'm just going off what my 96 (sunroof, leather, power drivers seat, moonroof, Bose) weighed with me 185lbs, 25lbs of tools, spare, jack, and 1/2 tank of gas (3240lbs).

Power wise, you're probably making ~185-190fwhp and ~200fwtq. Again, this is based off my car's dynos and track times pre-MEVI/JWT ECU (14.63@96mph). Your car typically gets 95-96mph which is what my car did prior to the MEVI/JWT. MPH is what really shows available power. ET is just traction. Pre MEVI/JWT my car made 183fwhp/193fwtq (y-pipe, intake, UDP, B-pipe). With the MEVI it made 189fwhp/186fwtq. I still have yet to dyno with the ECU. I hoping from 200fwhp/195fwtq.

Your HP will depend on how well the car is running too. ie.. KS functioning correctly etc... 02 sensor is in good condition etc...
