My left headlight blew out tonight and as I was driving I noticed that the blue light that indicates that your high beams are on was stuck on even if I turned them on and off. It's weird both the High and Low are dead. Does this automatically happen when a light goes out, as sort of a way to let you know its out? Or did I burn my wiring harness out of existance with those headlights? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

look at the wiring

is it burnt? Try putting in another bulb and see if it works.

When the left one goes out, the High-Beam indicator goes on to warn you that you have a bulb out. If the right one goes off then nothing will happen, it's weird. Just replace the bulb, and it will go back to normal dont' worry!

Is the bulb still good?

because if it is, I have the same problem. I saw on another thread that if you just wiggle it around the light should come back on. But it keeps going out from time to time. Does anyone know how to fix this?? or just tell me what's wrong with it?

Are you running 80/100W ?

If you are... better upgrade your wiring...else

If your running stock wattage (45/65W) then try to use a pick and bend the terminals on the harness out so they form a tighter connection...

here's what i did

i took out the new bulbs and put my old ones back in. well the left headlight didn't work again. so i pull off the socket and look in and the plastic in it is a little warped and slightly melted on the sides but the connections still look clean. so i just leave the old ones in there thinking that i'm gonna have to replace the socket. then next day i turn my car on and by habit turn on the headlights and i dont' see the high beam indicator on...so i get out and see the headlight working. so that night i go out and turn my car on and the headlight isn't working again, so i get out of my car and smack the headlight and it comes back on. so i'm thinking its a loose connections somewhere. any ideas on exactly what it might be??
