Simple Maxima Video we did over the weekend

I repeat...simple. It was edited in like a hour or so by a buddy (who was taping). I just have a rigged intake (bottom of intake taken off). We were just cruisin the downtown streets of Indianapolis that night. Njoy!

Nice video, but how fast were you guys going? And whats up with all these Max videos? I know that HLH does his on private roads, but aren't there any cops where you guys are racing and shootin vids? I was thinking about making a video with my friends, but I'm sure some cop here in NoVa would pull us over...

The camera car was an 03 Accord V6. This was taped at like 11 pm on a Sat. night. We weren't pullin high speeds anyway. The cops in that area tend to worry about crack busts and murders if you get my drift. You just have to be smart about doin video like this.

HAHAHA I actually live in Carmel...now, i didn't grow up there. BIG DIFFERENCE. What i meant it Carmel cops pull you over for stupid BS reasons (window tint). The IPD has real problems to worry about, not someone going 10 MPH over the speed limit. Ok, maybe it was faster than that.

I highly doubt hal uses "private roads", especially when you see about 10 other cars on the freeway with him...

And we definately should get a video forum going, would be a nice place to keep all these maxima videos ive been seeing lately. I know ceasar has the bulk of many since hes made god knows how many....

Someone should put the request into the feedback section to add a "Video" Forum. There should probably be a rule about blurring plates or something, but I'd like to see it.

None of the 3rd gen guys ever make vids, so I have to come here

INDIANAPOLIS-CARMEL--I'm close!!

I'm in Fishers. Are you new to the org? And yes, all cops in Indy suburbs are bored and have nothing to do but to pull over teenagers.

he just got his max, it's either a temporary license or registration paper, you're SUPPOSED to put it in the rear windshield, but some people think that it's cool to put it where the real license plate goes, so it gets all wet when it rains and deteriorates.

It's been said before, but nice clear picture. Seriously, what kind of camera did you guys use.
Nice vid.

Ok, sorry guys I have been at work all day. My friend is the camera guy. Its a Panasonic PVDC252 I believe. Its last years model. There will be MUCH more footage of my car as time goes. I will keep you guys updated. O yea, GABEX, maybe we should meet up sometime. And yes its a temporary plate. LOL, i am not doing it for a "cool" factor (wait, how is that "cool" in the first place?) its wrapped in a plastic baggy.

Hey guys i am the camera man.

First it is a panasonic PV-DC252
I was using a crappy JVC mini DV tape
and the editor is ULEAD. I am still experimenting with Avid
I put the quality down to make it more manageable to download
I need a windsock, but my mic is built in, it is not a shotgun mic or anything.
And i had the wind-cut off at the time by accident.
The audio is in joint stereo which is why when the cars go across screen there is not a definitive left/right channels,
The crazy guy at end is swatting a bee and was taken on a still frame camera, not the mini dv cam.

I would like to stress that this is the basic minimum of what you can do with Mini DV editting and filming. I have other examples of what i have done with it, but they dont include the maxima at the moment.

Also you should expect that no matter how good of quality of camera you get...(panasonic dvx-100 etc) it will be reduced so you can download it in reasonable time.

Thanks for the encouragement, if you all dont mind, i will post higher quality max footage when i get new and good stuff available.

And its 311 - Gap. They are my favorite group along with others that i like to mix with my video and you will definately hear that in upcoming videos.

Mark

Yeah, Carmel cops get excited about the smallest infractions. Again, nice vid!
