No Heat???

I have a 96 max gle, my car only gives heated air when the engine is being revved. If the car car is warmed up it still only gives hot air when the engine is revved. What could be the problem?

How is your engine temperature gauge doing? I had a problem with my heat system because my thermostat was sticking. Whenever I turn the heat on it started getting cold so I had to beat on the engine to get the heat up. The temperature gauge kept on going down all the time. If it does that, go to autozone and get the thermostat for $15 and replace it.

The thermostat is fine. What else could be the problem?
