I already have them on my car. I got them from my bro as a christmas present. He took them off his max. He gave me the rims with 225/50/17 kumho ecsta tires, and 2k2 rotors and calipers also. Now I want to know if speedometer will read different speeds because of the new tire size?

You shouldnt have any problems, since you have stock size tires. It's when you use different size tires (such as the 235/45/17) I'll be running on Mon. But to answer your question, it shouldnt affect your speedo.

yes, it does affect your speedo
if the newer tires have a larger diameter than your stock ones than your speedo readings will be a lil off. If its bigger, like in your case, your speedo will read a lil less than how fast your really going, so be careful.
the change isn't too much tho, only about 2-3 mph.
best thing= have a totally stock car drive next to you and see how far off you are.
just remember to compensate for it

Thats what I meant. Sorry if you got confused. 225/50/17 is stock tire for 2k2 maxima. I am gonna use 235/45/17 on my 2k2s. You SHOULDNT get a difference in speedo. I WILL have a small difference in my speedo

thanks guys. i have my bro drive my moms or dads i30 at the same speed as me. Plus my max corners like crazy now and it stops like that also thanks to 2k2 rotors which are bigger. I post pics soon. I got pics of a 4th gen rotor, a 2k rotor, and a 2k2 rotor. what a difference.

i have 2k1 rims with 225/45/17. I dont remember seeing any difference in speedometer but i heard if u use 5th gen stock tire size on 5th gen stock rims and put them on 4th gen there will be small issues with speedometer. i think the recommended size to avoid speedometer issues is 225/45/17 which is waht i have. I also have pics of my rims on my car on my homepage, not updated though.
