Strut moves WAY too easily. . .Any suggestions as to reason?
While the torque on all the bolts at the top of my strut tower seem ok, my strut tower still seems to be moved with very little force. I am thinking the strut bearing needs to be replaced. People have said that my mounting plate looks worn out/stripped, but then I don't remember what exactly needed to be modified with suspension, other than the obvious cartridge install, when I installed Konis on my car a couple years ago. Any suggestions as to why my strut moves would be appreciated.

I had the strut nut come loose on one of my front struts. This allowed the strut to rub the strut mount. This wore away the strut and the mount:
This allowed the strut to bang around inside of the mount. Not very safe or good for handling.
I replaced the mount with Stillen Camber plates, but I'm still using that strut (got it re-threaded).

This definitely sounds like something that just happened to me. Turned out to be the Strut Mount on the Passenger side. The rubber portion of the strut mount separated from the metal portion of the strut mount. I think I paid around 25.00 for the stut mount from the dealer, but the real cost is in having the strut removed and the car aligned to repair this.
