Is this normal?

i just got a new tranny and clutch put in about a week ago. its only got 200 miles on it. is it normal for the clutch to slip a little bit when i flore it? if i push the gas pedal in more than half way or rev past 3 or 4k, the clutch starts to slip. how long is this going to last and how long should i give it to break in before i start driving like the car was stolen ?

also, when it starts slipping, what should i do, let the gas out all the way, or just a little bit? thanks.

Youre not supposed to floor it before you break it in. I know that aftermarket clutches have a break in period and I don't see why an OEM clutch wouldn't either. It's either 500 or 1k miles. The clutch is probably going to slip no matter what cause you didn't bother to break it in.

Even a few times is too much. Break in period is important and ignoring it will render the clutch useless.

Sounds like an expensive mistake. Hopefully you can bring it back to the shop and claim it was like that from the get-go.
