Hey -

Someone just posted a link to a comparison of Maxima y pipes in a recent post on the subject, but I can't seem to find it now. Check out Budget, though, as the comparison said they had a great product for a good price. Cattman is also good, and, I have heard, looks better/may be built better, but is much more expensive. I think Budgets are less than $200...

Cheers,

i think the warpspeed's are the best for the money. most people i have heard saying that when they purchase the budgets you have to wrap the flex section to prevent the "bees in a can" noise. i have the warpspeed and never had to do this and it didnt have any bees noise. i think i bought it for 225

The $200 Warpspeed is aluminized steel. It's going to rust. They also have a stainless, but it costs a lot more. $275. And you still have to pay shipping with them. But you'll be keeping your cash in this country, working with our economy versus theirs. Budget is 304 stainless, and costs $180 including shipping. Some have bees in can with it, some don't. It's the obvious best deal. Pretty much all pipes yield the same gains.

just had my budget installed tonight.

$180 for the pipe, it's stainless steel, it will not rust, no bees, and I feel the gains.

what's the mystery here? buy a budget pipe and enjoy.

Warpspeed gets bees in can too. Read thread http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=270695
96blackmax has a warpspeed. I think that noise is more luck of the draw than anything else. You just hear about it more with budget because more people are buying the budget.

ive heard of wraping the the pipe would the reduce the risk of the bees? so, what everyone is saying there is a chance of getting bees in any of them, they all have the same gains, and thhe prices vary...

Looks to me that budget has won my vote.. no bees in a can the cheapest and ive heard nothing but good things about it!

Budget Y-pipe
Description: A great pipe that offers everything the other pipes have for much less. Which is why many tend to buy the Budget Y-pipe. It is made out of T-304 stainless steel, is mandrel bent, comes painted silver and has no bees in the can noise. Plus you get great customer service with Budget.
Possible problems: The collector joining the front and rear cylinder banks into one pipe is possibly not stainless steel.
Cheapest price: $181 shipped (prices on website are in Canadian), call budget to order http://www.budgetexhaust.com

I've got a Budget. No Bees for me either. Just don't bend and damage the flex section while installing.
