You need to wire a switch that is normally closed (NC) which opens the circut when you want the tranny to shift fast. You can do this with either a manual switch mounted in the cabin or with a Wide Open Throttle switch (WOT switch). Here's a picture of the drop resistor as posted by Jime in an earlier thread.

There are two wires attached to the left side of the resistor if you are looking at it from the front of the car. You can wire the switch into either of these wires. When the switch opens the circuit, your tranny shifts with full line pressure. It's been the general reccomendation that you only use this mod when at Wide Open Throttle.
Using a WOT switch is the best bet - just be sure you buy one that's NC. If you take a look in the nitrous forums, you can see pics of peoples nitrous setups. You can see mounting of WOT switches there. It will be a microswitch that is placed near the throttle body. When the throttle is pulled to the wide open position, the cam on the throttle body (i think it's a cam) depresses a lever on the microswitch. The placement is the same for nitrous applications, but the switch itself is different. (nitrous switches are normally open instead of normally closed). Here's a pic of a WOT switch w/ bracket. the switch is the black item on the top w/ the metal lever actuator.

So, you will clip one of the wires leading to the drop resistor leaving enough room on both sides of the cut to work with, it does not matter which wire. you will splice a long wire to each of the clipped sides of the original drop resistor wire - long enough to reach your switch. you will hook up the ends of these two long wires to the switch. It does not matter which side of the switch you use so long as it only has two connectors. When the switch is in 'normal mode', current passes through the drop resistor as normal. When the switch is flipped, the switch opens the circut, the tranny loses the input from the drop resistor and runs with full line pressure.
If you need more info, you can donate to the .org and do a search!
