Removing Intake Manifold - NEED Help with injector cap!!

I removed pretty much everything out of the way except for supprt brakets bolts and EGR tube unbeneith IM. I need to replace injector in cylinder 1 (on the rear bank at passenger side). I can move manifold slightly but cannot lift it yet. I was playing with support brakets bolts for an hour but cannot reach them comfortably enough in order to apply enough torque to brake them loose..
What's the trick to loosen them... I thought I will not need to disconnect EGR tube, I need only move manifold slightly to reach injector...

Guys, please help me out here

Vlad

All I can say is make your hand fit. It's a pain in tha ***, but I just had to get back there the hard way. Maybe someone else can help you out with a trick, but I don't know of any personally.

Try fitting a pipe or a large box ended wrench on the end of the ratchet. That should give you much more leverage to break those bolts loose. I would remove the EGR bolts as well, that will give you better range of motion when moving the manifold. While moving it around, be careful of the coolant line passing under the EGR opening as well (connected to manifold). See what that does for ya.

OK, I got them loose!!! Now it's just a matter of time to unscrew them.

What I did is I got flat wranch on the bolt and then put screwdriver on the end and hit few times with a hammer and it worked

Thanks again d_warner and KMax2988 !!!

Just one screw was holding me back from putting new injector in and it got rounded on me, I am so mad. But anyway, I cannot remove it with Philips screw driver, metal saw won't fit in there to make new "cross" and I have no drill to get the cap off,

What else could I do???

That is an idea too, most likely I will run and get it after work, I have only HomeDepot in my neighbourhood so hope they have it

Yes, thread topic name is confusing for this problem that I ran into, I just did not want to litter forum with a new thread, thanks anyway

I've had a few of those screws round off like that. I found that I could get the screw moving with a pair of needle-nose vice grips.
